Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of https://cardetailfinder.com (the “Site”) operated by Car Detail Finder (“we”, “us”). By using the Site, requesting a quote, or booking a service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What we are (and aren't)

Car Detail Finder is a directory and a marketplace that connects customers with independent car-detailing and window-tinting businesses (“Providers”). We do not perform detailing services, we do not employ Providers, and we are not a party to the service contract between you and a Provider. Providers set their own prices, methods and schedules and are solely responsible for the work they do.

2. Quote requests

When you submit a quote request we send it to up to three matched Providers, who may respond with a price. Quotes are offers made by the Provider, not by us. We may invite additional Providers if none respond. Submitting a request is free and creates no obligation to book.

3. Bookings, deposits and payment

• Accepting a quote creates a booking with that Provider at the quoted total price.
• To confirm the booking you pay a booking deposit online (typically 15% of the total, minimum $25). The deposit is Car Detail Finder's service fee for arranging the booking.
• The remaining balance shown on your booking is paid by you directly to the Provider when the job is done, using whatever method the Provider accepts. We do not process that payment.
• If you saved a card, the deposit is charged automatically when you accept a quote; otherwise you are sent to a secure checkout. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
• Prices quoted are for the job as described in your request. Additional work agreed directly with the Provider is between you and the Provider.

4. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds

• Provider no-show: if the Provider does not perform the booked job, report it using the link we send after the scheduled date and your deposit is refunded in full after a brief review.
• Customer cancellation: contact us before the scheduled date to cancel; deposits for bookings cancelled with reasonable notice are refunded at our discretion. If you are not present at the agreed time and place, the deposit may be forfeited.
• Disputes about the quality of work are between you and the Provider; we will help facilitate contact but cannot guarantee an outcome.

5. Providers

Providers who quote or accept jobs through the Site agree to the Partner Terms, which form part of these terms. In short: leads are free, the customer's deposit is our fee, Providers collect the stated balance directly from the customer, and accepting a job means honouring its stated price.

6. Directory listings

Listing information is compiled from publicly available sources and provided “as is”; hours, ratings and services may be out of date. We do not publish Providers' phone numbers or websites on the Site. Business owners may request a correction or removal of their listing via the contact page.

7. Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in, we send transactional texts about your quote request or booking. Message frequency varies (typically up to 5 per request or booking). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using the Site or booking a service. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit false requests or quotes, impersonate others, scrape or bulk-download the Site, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may refuse service, cancel bookings or block access for abuse.

9. Disclaimers

The Site and the matching service are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that Providers will respond, that quotes will be competitive, or the quality, safety or legality of any service performed by a Provider.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Car Detail Finder is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any damage to a vehicle or property caused by a Provider. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the deposit paid to us for that booking.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
